Robbinsdale Transition Center
The Robbinsdale Transition Center (RTC) is a program for young adults with disabilities.  Eighteen to twenty-one year olds are provided assistance and support while pursuing transition goals and objectives.  This community-based employment and independent living skills program is made available through the Robbinsdale Area Schools.

Using the IEP team process, RTC services help students achieve their goals by providing specialized instruction, training and support.  Students receive advising and training with choices based on individual needs in the following five transition areas:  Jobs and Job Training, Recreation and Leisure, Community Participation, Home Living and Post Secondary Training.

Special Education: What Do I Need to Know?

A 37 minute audio/video overview of special education has been created to help parents of children with disabilities understand what special education is, how a child might get into special education, how to resolve disagreements and what role parents play.

Developed by PACER Center, it is funded in part by a grant from the Minnesota Department of Education.

This presentation is also available in Hmong.
